Happy Holidays

Welcome to December! I hope you all are enjoying the month so far and all the magic it holds. :)

Holiday Magic
As we move into the holidays, I hope that you all decide to slow things down a bit and take time to enjoy and let go a little. Try to get your shopping done early. Relax. Read a book. Go on a walk. Take a bath. Indulge a little. Savor every moment.

We often forget to just “be” and simply relax this time of year. I’ve heard stories from friends that their families have decided to not buy presents and rather just make the holiday about enjoying the time together. My family does something similar. I’m not saying everyone should do this (we still buy for the children in our family), but it’s a nice way to shift into a more expansive space of appreciation. I love buying gifts (and receiving them. hee hee), but in the back of my mind I’m always conscious of those people that are not as fortunate and want nothing more than something to eat and a place to rest. I hope this year you too, remember those people that need the help and maybe, if you can, do what you can to support them.

There is no greater gift than giving to someone that could really use the help. It fosters love and a depth of gratitude that is like nothing else. SO, in saying all this, I am donating 15% of profits from all on-line sales to the IRC this month. I am also going to give a percentage of money to the homeless in my area. Living in Santa Monica, I encounter a number of people that have no homes. It’s strange to live in such an abundant area, yet see so many people living on the street. I always give thanks for all that I have and I never take it for granted. I don’t take any of you for granted, either. Thank you from the bottom (and top!) of my heart for all your support!

I have to say one more thing and I'm sure it's on the forefront of your minds, as well. The horrific shooting and loss at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut breaks my heart and I struggle for words to convey my deepest sympathy to all the families that lost their beautiful little children and loved ones. It makes me sick to think about how everyone in their town will cope and recover from the trauma and grief around this situation. I hope this horrendous situation creates awareness around how destructive guns are and how necessary it is to change our laws around guns. If any light and awareness comes from this situation, I hope it is to limit the availability of guns and to reform our services to people that are in need of mental/emotional help. Something HAS to change.

Let's cherish every moment of our lives, especially now and going forward. Love your little (and big) ones like there is no tomorrow. Many of us take time for granted. Let's stop that. Things change moment to moment. Let's make the most of the time here.

Okay, so we have a couple new items we’ve added to the line: Life Manifestation Vials, Manifestation Oils and Fairy Gift Tags. Take a look!!! They will be on our website, soon, but in the meantime you can email order requests to: lifearomatherapy@yahoo.com

Manifestation Love Oil & Manifestation Vials

Here is some music recommendations. My holiday favorites:

Take it easy the next couple weeks. Prepare for the New Year. There will be lots of treats and surprises. Do the clearing, resting, now. I promise you, it’ll be good!! Next month might be a little rocky energetically (or frenzied for some), but come February IT IS ON!!! :)  Just you wait and see!

I am beyond grateful for all of you. Thank you again for being my light and inspiration for the work I do. I am sending much love and many wishes your way.

The Unknown Activist

Happy November! I love this month. There is so much to be grateful for and Thanksgiving gives us the perfect reminder to stay in the space of gratitude and grace.

October held a whirlwind of energy. Hurricane Sandy caused heart wrenching destruction to the Eastern Coast. Many people lost everything. The simple things that most of us are accustom to having like power and water, were a frustrating consequence on top of a horrible disaster. My heart goes out to everyone affected. If you would like to support those in need (if you haven’t already) you can donate to: www.redcross.org
In addition to this awful situation, I noticed upheavals in the lives of a number of clients and friends that I work with. I feel the full moon in Scorpio last month revealed all that was hidden and catapulted truth to the surface. That’s the thing with awareness and truth. We don’t always want to see and hear it, but when it comes to surface it’s for a purpose and it’s ultimately meant to elevate us to a better place. Dealing with it all, isn’t always fun. UPHEAVAL & TRUTH. That’s what the Full Moon brought.

The Scorpio full moon had an effect on the Election, as well. During the debates, a lot of language was thrown around that couldn’t be substantiated. Sometimes the lies were blatant, others were sugar coated and harder to decipher unless you did your homework. My loyalty and confidence in our current President wasn’t deterred, but it was interesting to see some candidates and supporters go to ridiculous lengths to hide the truth and to justify their case. BUT, the truth always prevails and people that are willing to grow and evolve will naturally gravitate to those that emit a feeling of authenticity and trust.I feel the next 4 years will elevate us all and allow for fairness and support in ways that we haven’t seen in decades. No one is perfect, but I have confidence in our President. I’m predicting some major progress and abundance in the next coming years.

To quote Gerald Jampolsky, M.D. " Everyone has his unique way of stating the Truth as he sees it, and that uniqueness is important, because there will be only certain people you and I will touch in this lifetime, and for those encounters, honesty will be the container of all the gifts we will give and receive."
How I imagine D was like in her 20's. :)
This brings me to my new hero, my neighbor D. I’m grateful that when I moved to California a couple (and a half!) years back that I attracted such a wonderful and supportive neighbor. She’s a Santa Monica local for 30 sum years. She’s left,  aware and involved. During the election I saw bumper stickers on her car, pins on her beret and signs in our yard all advocating “YES on 37" (Labeling food products that contain GMO’s).

I caught her one day coming in from the day. When I asked her how her day was and what she had been up to she said that she had been standing on the corner with a sign advocating “YES on 37.” She stood, on a highly traveled intersection, holding a sign just to get a message out. I was in awe. Now, some would say she is absolutely nuts, but I loved every second of her passion and earnestness. My heart expanded with delight when I heard her recall her day and how she stood on the corner, waving her sign to get a message out to anyone she encountered. That day she became my hero.

D, like a lot of us, has had a rough couple years. What I’ve noticed in her journey and healing through it all is how she constantly picks herself up and moves through it. I notice how she takes care of herself and even when she’s not her own advocate, she’s a voice for others. She inspires me. She’s always going to an art opening, a meditation, listening to informed radio, sharing interesting articles/events, taking a yoga class, painting, chanting, exploring a new restaurant…she is a brilliant woman, humble and real and is not afraid to be vulnerable or admit her flaws. Thank you D for all that you do.We could all learn a thing or two from you.

NOW, I have to say this message could go on forever because there are endless people in my life that inspire me and whom are amazing people that I am incredibly grateful for. The list is so long that I hope that in acknowledging that there really isn’t one person in my life that I don’t feel this way about, makes it simpler to communicate. I wanted to write about D because she is someone that I feel isn't always aware of her gifts. I want her and you all to know that even the smallest things you do for yourself, others and the world get noticed. I wanted to let you all know that I notice. I am grateful for each and every one of you!

D – keep rocking on. Wave that sign for the entire world to see. I’m inspired to do the same. It’s good to be humble, but it’s also good to fight for what you believe in, especially when it comes to being your own advocate.

Let’s all give “thanks” this Thanksgiving and always. Be grateful for all the changes in your life. They are elevating you to new, authentic and empowered energy. Be prepared for the New Year. The year 2013 might start a little rocky as the Universe finds equilibrium after frenzied year, but by February/March we should all be feeling better, balanced and more empowered and energized. Some of you air signs better hold on for January. I have a feeling it’s going to be a very active month for you.

To keep us in the space of Gratitude, I’d like to suggest a couple artists that I am wholeheartedly grateful exist:

These three artists always seem to evoke something deep in me. I wanted to share some of my favorite songs with all of you. I hope they evoke something in you.

And I cannot forget about my products & readings! I am grateful every day that I am able to do what I love. So, to honor all of you, I’m giving 15% off my readings and any product purchases through the end of November. To schedule a reading, you can go to my website: www.fairygirlbliss.com or email me at: carrie@fairygirlbliss.com – you can also find me on Facebook & Twitter under: Carrie A. Let's start over, shall we?

Welcome to September. Oooh, are you ready for this?? It’s a big month. Let this message below be our mantra for the month and going forward:

“I will not let anyone take away my light, put me down, or put me in a box. I will not allow other people’s fears and insecurities impact the way I see myself. I will not let people speak to me with ugly words and tones. I WILL CLOSE MY EARS AND EYES AND STAY INSIDE AND GROW BIGGER AND BRIGHTER. I will cherish my light, rise above and move past the limitations that these people project on to me. And I WILL THRIVE and DANCE and SHOW MY LIGHT TO THE WORLD. I WILL BE KINDER, MORE COMPASSIONATE AND LOVING AS A RESULT. AND AS I MOVE AWAY FROM THEM, I WILL PRAY THAT THEY FIND THESE THINGS IN THEMSELVES.” ck

As humans we come in pure and full of light. Through life we accumulate scars that some call “flaws” and wounds that some call “stuff,” that cause us to forget who we are. If we’re met with messages that reinforce these flaws and open these wounds, we often react, retreat or run. For when we feel we’re not loved and accepted, if creates distance and separation. People don’t see this though when they are criticizing you or choosing to not be supportive when you tell them you need them and you know why?? Because they have stuff, too; wounds and stuff that blinds them from having any ability to be nurturing, compassionate or kind.

The thing is…we all have the ability to heal, grow and learn. Our wounds and flaws can become the very things that make us beautiful. The right people will see your wounds and love you. Simply love you and tell you “it’s going to be okay. I’m here for you. I see your suffering and burdens and I want to love and help you.” It is our role to do the work, but even if we’ve done the work, we still have wounds that surface. It takes strength to love, to be vulnerable and to show to those you trust, those parts of you that aren’t perfect and that need nurturing. The right person, people will cherish these things.

The most healing words you can say to someone you care for are these things:

I love you. I’m here for you. I will be your friend and ear if you need one. I will be by your side when you need me. And if you are hurting, I will love you more.

This month, I ask you to start over. Clear the slate. Accept yourself and all your wounds and flaws. Nurture them and surround yourself with people that nurture YOU. See the light in yourself and show it to the world. Affirm to yourself “I am perfect in my imperfection.” We came in pure and full of light; lets’ reignite that flame and start anew. I’m ready. Are you?? :)

October will be an active month and perhaps chaotic for some (we'll talk about that next month. ;)) . Let’s regroup, reorganize, re-assess and re-ignite. Blaze your path, whatever that may be. I’m cleaning the slate and taking a big leap with my dreams. Are you coming with me??

These are my words for all of you:
I love you.
I am here for you.
I will be your friend and ear if you need one.
And if you are hurting, I will love you more.

Thank you all for always being such and inspiration and joy in my life. I’m sorry I’ve been remiss in sending these messages out on a regular basis, but I have re-committed, re-organized and am starting anew and that includes my devotion to interacting with all of you. :)

Here is some music to get us going this month:

And here are a little “light” options to spray on your gorgeous self. Life “Voile.”  (email me with perfume purchase requests at lifearomatherapy@yahoo.com) or how about a little Light -7th chakra spray. Mmmm, you’re gonna smell sooo good!

Light 'em up!

A spark of light ignites the night and I am inflamed and furious in my might to spread it everywhere. ck

Welcome to July (and now August!), friends. I hope you are embracing the long days of summer. This month is a special month for me. I was born this month (thank you mom & dad). As a child I probably took for granted having a summer birthday: Endless pool days, BBQ’s, play dates with friends…

Well, only a little in that regard has changed (wink).

I never lose sight of what I have and my might for what I want grows fiercer and fiercer every day. That’s why this month is dedicated to lighting up your path. I mean really TURN IT ON. We have to illuminate our dreams and share our spirits with the world. So many of us discount our talents because there is “too much competition” or “you’re too old” or “too young” too “inexperienced,” “not talented enough.” Please stop this non-sense. These are all illusions that keep people safe so that they don’t have to face rejection or criticism. Often we discount our abilities and that’s unfortunate. I see many talented, I mean TALENTED people that are doing nothing with their work. I give them space knowing that it may just be a matter of timing and that when they are ready and confident enough, they will go into the world with their gifts.

Please share your gifts with the world. I'll be here to cheer you on!

Here is a list of things to help you stay motivated this month. I wrote this some time ago, but felt it was important to share again:
"Rules" for life
(Some are my creation, others are ideas I've adopted. I thought I'd share them with you for inspiration, support...because we all need a little help and sometimes, I too, need a reminder:) Enjoy!).

Trust yourself. Be true to who you are and trust what you feel. Only you know what is right and best for you. Key is to discover that for yourself and honor it.

Believe in your heart and what is holds. No one truly knows what is inside you and what is closest to your heart. Your dreams are your own, so hold on to them. The greatest romantics, inventors, artists were deemed "crazy" because of the risks they took in love and with their work. Go for it in love and go BIG....do the same with your dreams! So often we discount our feelings and use our minds to "rationalize" our behavior and what we see for ourselves. What you feel in your heart is true because you feel it. Believe it!

Be Grateful - for everything.

Live life with Joy. Find a way to bring light to yourself and to others every day. See the good in life! You have a hand in creating your circumstances. Choose to release negativity and see the best in everyone and everything.

When things get tough,  look at the lesson. Every experience has value and provides a chance for learning and growth. If things are tough and you are meeting resistance, let it go. Most likely your intuition is trying to tell you that something isn't right for you.

Pay attention to your energy. Do those things that "uplift" you and surround yourself with people that do the same.

Live life with integrity. Do the right thing and honor the standards you set for yourself.

Be truthful.  Honesty supports everyone in the long run. Sometimes people are afraid to tell the truth because they are afraid of how the other person will respond. Let me tell you, it will only hurt you in the long run. The truth always comes to surface somehow.

Be kind. Have compassion. Understand that most of the time, people are doing the best they can with the tools they have in the moment.

LIVE LIFE!
If you want to spread some good vibes and send a message to others with our new Awareness Tee's, we won't stop you:) They are super soft and fun to wear. If anything, you might make some new friends by putting one on!

Here's a little music inspiration for you, as well!! (well, a couple of artists I've been listening to lately).

Blood - The Middle East
As Tall as Cliffs - Margot & the Nuclear So & So's

Have a wonderful July (and August), everyone! Sending lots of light your way!

More TIME please...

A belated welcome to June! I’ve missed you all, dearly. I feel time these days is limited and I wish for more of it; especially when it comes to sharing and communicating with all of you. :)

I’m being sincere in saying I would like more time. I would like more moments, more space, freedom to enjoy and appreciate everything in life. It is not enough for me to have a few moments with great friends and family. It’s not enough when I hang up the phone wishing I had more time to talk to someone I know needs more support. It’s not enough when I feel stretched and my heart hurts because I want more time to give to everyone and everything in my life.

Due to my responsibilities, I have to manage my time. I do my best and choose to see every moment as sacred. There is nothing and no one I take for granted. I send that intention out to the universe; that everyone and everything that I encounter feel the sincerity of my gratitude. I am lucky to be in a position to support and connect with so many special people.
When absent from writing, I send gratitude to those of you that actually check my website and blog to see if I’ve made a new post and I send light hoping that you will be patient and know that I am supporting you all even when I’m not communicating.

Time. We have an abundance of it, but in reality; when it comes to those things that are special and sacred, I wish I had more.

My wish for June is that we see each moment as sacred. Please don’t assume that anyone in your life will be there tomorrow. Each day is new and brings gifts, beginnings, endings, light, grief, joy…we cannot predict what each day will bring. That is the magic of life. If we learn to appreciate EVERYTHING, good or bad, we create more space in our hearts for love and a deeper experience of life. I wish to use my time wisely and choose to love more at every opportunity I get. I hope even when my time is limited with each of you, you feel that love.

To help us get into this zone of appreciation of time, may I suggest a little Life Aromatherapy, tool?? Life Manifestation Beads. Wear them as a reminder to slow down and embrace every person and thing in your life. Use them as a tool for mindfulness. (BIG GRIN).

Here is some music to get you in the mood. :)

Elements - A Fine Frenzy

And for a little more inspiration: I’m working on my journal of portraits. Here are two of the latest.

One more thing before we go. A little California light for you all.

Remember your light. Be gentle. And embrace every moment.

With all my love,
Carrie
