You get what you ask for...ummhmm...or do you?

I'm a firm believer in direct communication and "putting it out there." If you don't ask, you won't know, right? If you don't try, you most likely won't see any changes. We have to be responsible for our own lives. Ultimately, that is the only thing we have control over. We can take care of ourselves, our needs, speak our true feelings and take steps towards our goals and desires, but we cannot change others, or the result of what our communication and efforts bring. We cannot make something happen if it's not meant to be. That is where "allowing" comes in. Our job is to be clear about what we want and take the steps to make it happen. We can talk to no end about what we want and put that energy out there, and most times, we attract just what we are putting out. But, there are times when we need to take action to move closer to our desires. Sometimes this is a scary process, but again, if you don't try, you'll never know the outcome, right??

So, I'm writing this because I need a little coaching every now and again, too:) All I can do in my life is be clear about what I want and see for myself, and take action to bring those things into my life; but I'm willing to "allow" when necessary and just go with the process. If something feels forced, it is. If you're hitting a wall with something...back away and see it from a different perspective. If there is no getting past it, then you probably need to take an alternative route. Doesn't mean you're giving up, just means that you're exploring another option that might be a little easier and believe it or not, more rewarding!

I want to give a little shout out to Carley's Bistro in downtown Phoenix. Their food is great and the Owner, Carley, infuses her magic into the place. If you live in Phoenix and want to make a visit, you can view their menu and information at http://www.carlysbistro.com/

What am I listening to? Lex Land. She has a sweet voice and I love her lyrics. She's real and it comes through her music. Check her out: http://www.myspace.com/lexacousticrock

Phoenix just got a Barney's New York store!!! Yes, they are expensive and I realize people are watching their spending, but from an appreciation viewpoint, they know how to do it right. Their product and clothing selection are incredibly unique. And their displays!! So fun! You won't find the pretention you might experience in other High End stores. Life Aromatherapy is hoping to be a featured vendor. Cross your fingers for us!! Here is a link to their website: http://www.barneys.com/

Well, that's it for now. I'll be posting some new photos of our Awareness Tee's. Their are a couple new designs. For now, here's a photo of my french friend:)

I didn't fall off the face of the earth...came pretty close, though!

Photo of the Harvest Moon in Jerome
Seriously! I'm still here. I promise:) I thought for sure that I would be checking into my blog and giving little tidbits on a regular basis...just got a bit sidetracked the last couple weeks. Ha! I'm back though and just so you know...I was having a little fun while working. Shh...don't tell anyone;)

My latest adventure was a recent trip to Jerome, Arizona. If you've never heard of Jerome, please check out this site (http://www.azjerome.com/) The area is occupied by artist, bikers, musicians, ghost hunters and people that just want a little solitude. It's an eclectic mix of people, for sure! What is most appealing about this community is how the people support each other, in spite of the diverse backgrounds. I went up there for their local Art Walk that they do the beginning of each month (year round) and to do a little business. So worth a visit if you want to check out some neat art, enjoy some great food and do a little ghost hunting:) Me and my companions enjoyed the adventure, gorgeous surroundings and delightful offerings. Here is me with a friend that I made at The Jerome Grand Hotel (notoriously haunted hotel).
Yes, that is an enormous glass of wine! Ha! I was just holding it for a friend:)

What am I doing now?? Trying to catch up on work! I've had some new developments with my business and am SO excited to share with you all, but you have to wait to get the news. I'll tell you once things are "solidified." Sound good? Promise to share!

I'll be posting a new video hopefully by next week. Stay tuned!! Working out the details on how I'm going to do the series...might just be random videos to start. Regardless, they'll be informative and fun!

What am I listening to? Check out: http://www.myspace.com/matesofstate What is so neat about them is that they're married with two children. They take their little ones on the road with them when they tour; they have a whole blog dedicated to their adventures as a family. I saw them live and was captivated by the connection they share. You could feel the energy between them when they looked at each other. So awesome to see an example of love, connection and creativity all in one:)

I'm out for now. Have to get back to some work. Sending tons of wishes your way!

Trust Me...

Trust and reliability. It's interesting, these words...they carry so much weight with me. Can I trust this? Can I rely on this person and trust that they have the best intentions for me in mind? Will they come through?

I'm so discerning and so, when I make a choice to trust and rely on a person, it carries a lot of weight with me. I am telling this person "hey, I really care about you. I care enough for you that I am willing to share with you and rely upon you when needed." If you break my trust, well, we're going to have some problems, so let's just make this easy and don't go there. Ha! As gentle and sweet as I may be, I can be defiant to no end! I believe when you trust someone, you allow yourself to be vulnerable with them and so much beauty can happen with that. Maybe that's why I can't fathom why anyone would want to break a bond like that. But, I realize people do, and it's usually because they don't have enough trust in themselves or haven't learned to behave any other way.

Reliability is quite a bit different from trust. There are many people we might trust, but realize that they aren't always the most dependable person in the world. It's part of what you accept about a person or don't. But when it comes to trust...well, I think you either trust someone or you don't (as you get to know them, of course...this process doesn't happen overnight).

As you get in touch with who you are, you can learn to filter out your "stuff" and conditioning and better decipher with whom you are willing to share and confide in. It is easy to project past hurts onto new people. Actually, I think it is pretty darn natural to do that, and probably takes a lot of self control to do otherwise:) I think when developing new friendships it is important to leave your past in the past, but that is easier said then done. If your trust has been broken in your history, you are most likely going to be a bit more scrutinizing in your friendships and relationships. Makes sense.

I'm fortunate to have close family members and friends that I can trust and rely upon. I will say though, with new people I meet, it takes me a little while for me to build my trust in them...even if I know they are an exceptional person. My intuition might say "you can absolutely trust and depend on this person," but my intellect and past conditioning will warn me to be cautious and take my time to determine if I'm going to let this person in. I'm okay with this, because I know myself, and I have to do what I feel comfortable with. I hope you all do the same. We all deserve to have the best and have people in our lives that we can rely upon. Absol-friggin-lootly! Ha ha!

So, just another shout out to say "watch your back!" ha ha. No really, please be open, be vulnerable, but be discerning, too. I expect the best and so should YOU! (A little rhyme for you!).

What am I listening to today?? The Virgins! Love them!! If you haven't heard of them, check them out. I love music, so you'll be getting my recommendations on a regular basis. If you have any artists you want to share with me, especially up and coming ones, please let me know. I'm all about supporting and promoting new talent!

Want to wear something cool and inspiring around town? Check out our Awareness Tee's. They're super comfortable, quirky and inspiring. Take a peek.

Happy Friday!!!!!!!!! Yahoo!!!!!! Ok - one more recommendation for you! Was cleaning and doing laundry this morning with Mrs. Meyers cleaning products. Have you tried them? What the Pluck?

Perhaps I'm being a bit naughty today:) I don't swear (well, only on rare occasions when something really surprises me), so as an alternative to some commonly used swear words, I've come up with my own alternatives, such as:: "What the pluck! Oh, snap! What the fridge? Oh, frick!" I'll share more as they come to me:) By the way, I realize that I didn't come up with "Oh, snap!" Ha ha.

Some say that swear words are just words and only carry the energy we give them. I'm not sure if I totally agree with this. I think it depends on the context in which they are used. When I hear a friend say "oh, s--t. I forgot my keys." I don't give it a second thought. But, when I hear someone say "f..this and this f-ing sucks and everything is f..uped." Well, for them, life is probably that way. With so much negativity going out, it's no wonder why they are frustrated with what they are receiving in their lives.

Our thoughts create. Our words carry energy. I'm just sayin. Believe me; George Carlin (RIP), Robin Williams and Eddie Murphy wouldn't be nearly as funny if they refrained from using every curse word under the sun. They're intelligent with their humor, though. They use their words for effect and delivery and it totally works. But, look at Ellen DeGeneres. I hardly ever hear her use a bad word and she is hilarious! So, curse words can be used or not used to create effect. They can be just words, depending on the context, or they can bring negative energy, if used to express negative emotions or thinking patterns. Your choice.

Why is my blog about this today? Heck if I know. Ha ha! Just came to mind as I was sitting at my computer doing some work today. Something happened to me earlier and I thought to myself "what the pluck!" I started laughing reminiscing about a time when my sister and I used to say that to each other when something odd came up.

Raise your vibration and use attracting words! If you haven't checked out this book, please do! You Can Heal Your Life, by Louise Hay. When I read her book years ago, it struck a chord. She talks about how our thought patterns create harmony or dis-ease and how our thoughts create our circumstances. Might be worth checking out. She's a smart lady:) Turned her affirmations into an empire: Hay House Publishing

Lift your vibration and use the Light Spray from the Life Chakra line. Ahh...so yummy! Has a little nutmeg in the formula. Reminds me of etherial things:)

Here is a great artist to listen to on a Sunday: Adele. She's super popular, I know, but for those of you that haven't heard of her, check her out. I like to listen to Etta James on Sundays, too. She's classic.

Sending you wishes for a wonderful weekend! Also, if you live in Phoenix and want some pampering, check out Kiki Estique. She's a fabulous aesthetician and a good friend of mine. Just had a facial with her yesterday and my skin is glowing. She gave me a Blueberry Enzyme treatment. Smelled so delicious!

Sending lot of wishes your way! I'm out!
