Light 'em up!
Please share your gifts with the world. I'll be here to cheer you on!
Here is a list of things to help you stay motivated this month. I wrote this some time ago, but felt it was important to share again:
"Rules" for life
(Some are my creation, others are ideas I've adopted. I thought I'd share them with you for inspiration, support...because we all need a little help and sometimes, I too, need a reminder:) Enjoy!).
Trust yourself. Be true to who you are and trust what you feel. Only you know what is right and best for you. Key is to discover that for yourself and honor it.
Believe in your heart and what is holds. No one truly knows what is inside you and what is closest to your heart. Your dreams are your own, so hold on to them. The greatest romantics, inventors, artists were deemed "crazy" because of the risks they took in love and with their work. Go for it in love and go BIG....do the same with your dreams! So often we discount our feelings and use our minds to "rationalize" our behavior and what we see for ourselves. What you feel in your heart is true because you feel it. Believe it!
Be Grateful - for everything.
Live life with Joy. Find a way to bring light to yourself and to others every day. See the good in life! You have a hand in creating your circumstances. Choose to release negativity and see the best in everyone and everything.
When things get tough, look at the lesson. Every experience has value and provides a chance for learning and growth. If things are tough and you are meeting resistance, let it go. Most likely your intuition is trying to tell you that something isn't right for you.
Pay attention to your energy. Do those things that "uplift" you and surround yourself with people that do the same.
Live life with integrity. Do the right thing and honor the standards you set for yourself.
Be truthful. Honesty supports everyone in the long run. Sometimes people are afraid to tell the truth because they are afraid of how the other person will respond. Let me tell you, it will only hurt you in the long run. The truth always comes to surface somehow.
Be kind. Have compassion. Understand that most of the time, people are doing the best they can with the tools they have in the moment.
LIVE LIFE!
If you want to spread some good vibes and send a message to others with our new Awareness Tee's, we won't stop you:) They are super soft and fun to wear. If anything, you might make some new friends by putting one on!
Here's a little music inspiration for you, as well!! (well, a couple of artists I've been listening to lately).
Blood - The Middle East
As Tall as Cliffs - Margot & the Nuclear So & So's
Have a wonderful July (and August), everyone! Sending lots of light your way!

Thank Your Lucky Stars...and the moon...and the sun...
Welcome May! Welcome days of May and all they bring!
So, the other day I almost (can’t even use the word “almost” in what I’m about to describe to you) got ran over by a bus! Yeah, not just almost…I was TOUCHING the thing! I was at a street corner near my office waiting for the light to turn. When the light turned, I stepped off the curb into the crosswalk, going about my business when a bus whipped around the corner and turned right into me!! Holy CRAP! I remember thinking “is this really happening?!?!”
I started AT THE FRONT of the bus and was literally pushing the bus away as I moved to its side as it turned into me. I’m TOUCHING THE BUS!! From the front to its side as it pushes its way into me, forcing me to flea in seconds back to the curb (we started in the middle of the crosswalk). I remember thinking; "oh my gosh, this is going to hurt. I’m going under!" I wasn’t worried about dying. I was worried about the pain. I could see in seconds how easily one could get pulled under considering the angle and how it was turning into me. It all, like most accidents (or near accidents) happened in seconds. The bus driver stopped up the street but never got out, but people driving in the opposite direction ran from their vehicles to make sure I was okay. It was frightening. Shocking. And today as I relive the experience I still shake my head in awe that it even happened and that I’m okay.

Okay. GRATITUDE. AWARENESS. APPRECIATION. POSITIVITY. That's the mantra this month. Got it? I DO!! :)
Now, we have to have music to get us in the mood, don't you think??
I'm obsessed with these song/artists lately:
New York - Blind Pilot
You're the One That I Want - Angus & Julia Stone (Cover)
I Am a Pilot - Fanfarlo
Let's accompany the music with my other obsession. Aromatherapy. How about a little Uplifting Room Spray. It's my favorite to use this time of year. The Ylang Ylang and Rose Geranium remind me of the all the gorgeous flowers I smell on my walks in Santa Monica. YUMMY. You'll love!!
I am grateful for you all and wish that you have the most delightful and love filled month ever.
xx,
Carrie

Rave On...

Steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.
I prefer the following definition:
Continuance in a state of grace to the end.
To be this way, to demonstrate grace in the midst of obstacles, difficulties and discouragement takes more strength than you know.
Often, when faced with challenges, I try to embody grace. I try to see the light in the situation, the higher purpose and move through it. This doesn’t mean that in the moment I am not emotional. Nor does it mean that I’m composed or perfect. I cry. I get overwhelmed. These emotions though, are fleeting. That is the beauty of grace. Grace is kind. It is unconditional love in action. It is acceptance, surrender, love and compassion all wrapped into one beautiful word.
Full of grace. Yes, some days I am.
“Graceful” – ummmm…not so much. I run into things all the time. Haha!
Lately, I feel that I’ve been faced with challenges that are not severe, yet evoke something deep in me and create an awareness of what I value more than ever. I feel that many people in my life are experiencing the same struggles. The feeling of discontent is lingering around and we are faced with looking at “what needs to change? What is fulfilling, purposeful to me? How do I get there?”
Through grace we find the answers. We must have compassion and gratitude for our circumstances and trust that our inner knowing will guide us and bring us closer to what makes us all most fulfilled. Sometimes we have to wade in the void and trust that when we need the solution, it will come to us at the perfect moment. Perseverance in many ways is resistance…pushing through even when we don’t know the way or have the answers. Not always the best solution. Grace on the other hand is surrendering, allowing; and it involves a little (or a lot) of faith and trust.
My wish for you this month is for you to hold on tightly to what you want. Persevere, but be graceful through the process. Sometimes the presence of discontent is there for a purpose. Support beyond our waking consciousness might be manifesting to help us. Timing IS everything. Try to keep your chin up and move through it. Hold on to what you believe and wish for and allow things to unfold gracefully. ;) You will be provided with everything you need at the perfect time for you. Promise.
My product line is literally my lifeline. It is my joy, my everything. It is meaningful to me because of what it brings to all of you. There is a higher purpose to what I do beyond creating a skin cream or room spray. My sincere desire is to create awareness, to help others through my work, to inspire and bring light and joy to all that I encounter. Thank you all for supporting me and my mission.
Find the thing that moves you the most and do that.
Persevere.
Be graceful.
And trust that the answers will come and that you are supported when you follow your heart. ck
Now how about some music and some beautiful scents to heighten the experience. I’m loving this scent right now. I have my own signature scent, but lately I’ve been layering it with Voyageur from Parfum my line of natural high-end fragrances. It’s intoxicating (well, I’m intoxicated by it. Haha!).
Music! I’m obsessed with this band (The Alabama Shakes). I literally thought the lead singer was a man! She has such a distinctive, soulful, gritty voice. Take a listen.
That’s all folks. I’ll keep you posted on any events in the future. In the meantime, until next time; rave on, rock on and keep your chin high. Wink wink.
Ps – don’t forget to “friend” us on FB and twitter. You’ll get the most recent feeds on what we’re up to, sales, promotions, etc. Mwah!

Ask and you shall receive...
Living in California, I feel that I’m spoiled. The weather is pretty amazing most days. It seems it is always spring here. Ha! But the energy in March is always different regardless of the weather, and I am super excited about THAT!
If you've ever done affirmation work, now is the time to really BRING IT ON! Things are literally blooming, so actions, intentions and thoughts will put into motion a new cycle of energy for many. If you've never heard of affirmations, it's basically in a nut shell "acting as if" in a positive sense. For example, if your mind set is to believe that nothing is ever going to happen for you, well, it probably won't. If you use an affirmative voice whether you believe it or not, it will shift the energy within and without and you will attract better, more supportive circumstances. "I create the life I want now. My dreams are coming true every day." See what I mean? :) Whhhhallla!
So often people don't believe that they deserve all the good in life. Our upbringings can have a tremendous impact on how we view life and respond to our circumstances. You may be doing well in your career, but suffer in relationships due to fears and patterns that have been there long before you entered the relationship. Or you may have loving, supportive relationships but are challenged with work, expression, etc. Maybe there is an underlying belief that you don't deserve to be successful. That your art isn't a "real job" and won't make you money (maybe a thought from a parent and not your voice/thought). We all have "stuff" and things to move through no matter how wonderful our upbringing and life experience. It's how we choose to grow through our fears and patterns that matters. I feel that using affirmations is a good starting tool (a little therapy can't help, either. haha. -- I mean it!).
Now let's go back
to talking about dreams coming true...hee hee.
Fred Segal is currently reviewing our fragrance line!! I am trilled about this opportunity (talk about MAGIC)!!! I typically don’t talk about things until they happen, but I feel sharing this opportunity will attract the support I need to make it happen. Send good thoughts! Now that I’m a Santa Monica local, it would be a dream to launch Parfum by Life Aromatherapy at this landmark store. The creative "vibe" alone from this store inspires me and I want nothing more than to be a part of what they are doing. I’ll keep you posted as to what happens!!
Here are a few other things besides Fred Segal that I’m obsessed with. Music! I’ve discovered some new artists that I’ll share perhaps next month or in my Facebook “Music, Thought and Product in the moment,” but for now, these artists represent the energy of this month. Real. Inspired. Raw. Uplifted (!!) energy.
So Much Things to Say - Lauryn Hill
California – Delta Spirit
Can You Tell - Ra Ra Riot
Skinny Love - Birdy
As always, thank you for your support. This month I am offering 15% off my readings. I feel that this month hold powerful manifestation energy and I want to support you all in clearing out anything that is no longer serving you so that you can make way for the new uplifted energy.
